Ram Falls Runway

Our Ram Falls Runway project was a group effort. We had participation from people from Lacombe, Red Deer and Rocky Mountain House. The ground crew cleared rocks from the runway and it all got freshly mowed.

Ram Falls Maintenance

On June 13, 2013 4x4 ruts were filled in, grass was cut in some areas, parts of the airstrip were dragged, and the entire airstrip was packed. Ram Falls airstrip is now in excellent condition! Darrell Glover, Abe Derksen and Bill Cocke(IFC) supplied the equipment. Jim Thoreson, Darryl Wolter and John Radomsky worked shovels and rakes while a flock of sheep cut the grass. Many thanks to the work crew particularly Darrell, Abe and Bill for supplying the equipment.

John Rodomsky

As I was taxing back to my hanger John Radomsky was headed out to Wolfe Lake for a morning flight.

Randy Engler

Randy is the Red Deer Flying Club's latest pilot having just finished all his training and passing all his tests. Randy decided Saturday was a great day for his first adventure and below is his story.

I got up early and left Red Deer at about 7:00 AM, and flew to Wetaskiwin to pick up my buddy Mike. Mike is lives in Leduc and is an AME who works for Westjet at Edmonton International, maintaining their Boeing 737's. He drove to Wetaskiwin to meet me.

Club Plane

Many people when visiting the Red Deer Flying Club comment that they used to play in the metal plane in front of the clubhouse.

Thanks to Jim Municwich and his crew the ClubPlane has recently been refurbished.
